Hi Sacha,

After upgrading to the latest version of Open URL Rewriter the language part of the URLs has changed from the short one "/en/page-name" to the full one "/en-gb/page-name".

How do I fix it this, please?

Could you post an example if it's a new rewrite rule...

Many thanks,
Emil

Hi,

You have to change the site alias to

www.mysitecom/en

Sacha

Is there a smart better way to manage the primary site alias when restoring the database to different environment?

For example when restoring your database from live site mysite.com to let say test.mysite.com we will need to change the primary alias from the live one to the test one to avoid redirection to the live site. I can think of two ways:
  • automate the primary alias update via sql script as part of the db restore process or
  • modify hosts file (or network dns server) to point the live url at local ip address
Both of the above are not ideal, I just wonder if this can be handled by some sort of smart config?

Thanks,
Emil
